Welcome to The Teenage Health Blog. I am happy to provide this blog as a resource on health for teenagers, their parents and teachers. I am a health teacher myself and am excited to share what I teach my own students!
The mission of The Teenage Health Blog is to provide high value, straight-forward and practical health education focused on teenagers. Although I find health textbooks useful, they often don’t go in depth enough into certain subjects while also covering lots of extra information most people don’t need and aren’t interested in. For example, the textbook I use has a section on Blizzards but doesn’t cover Contraception. Seriously, how can a Health textbook cover winter storms but not birth control? Teenagehealthblog.com will focus on information that teenagers need and want. Most of all, I want to help teenagers live long, healthy and happy lives.
I will make an effort to cover all the main health topics that a typical semester long health class would cover. These include
Nutrition Reproduction, Sexual Health and Romantic Relationships Alcohol, Drugs and Tobacco Positive Thinking and Mental Health Cyber Safety and Positive Human Relationships Fitness Safety First Aid
I’m very excited to begin blogging and can’t wait to start hearing your comments.
I can’t wait to check out this blog. Looks cool!
